Three years ago 13abc introduced you to Elly Wickenhesier, a little girl from Carleton, Michigan who asked to be mailed Christmas cards while she battled cancer. After two years in remission, her family got devastating news that the cancer came back.
“It’s hard, especially since this is the second time,” said Nicole Jaskot, Elly’s Aunt. “Cancer doesn’t discriminate that’s for sure.”
Elly was first diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2016 and two years later she was in remission.
In February, Jaskot said her niece started to lose feeling in her legs, when doctors found the tumor.
