Joseph Simmons, a St. Augustine High School senior, gave his tenth blood donation this week. Simmons received his red honor cord and gallon donor pin from St. Aug Alumnus, Alfred McCrea, Class of ’79.

Simmons said giving blood is one way he likes making a difference.

According to The Blood Center, it takes most donors years to become gallon donors.
