A TOOWOOMBA resident is celebrating a significant milestone today.

Gowrie Junction local Ian Dill rolled up his sleeve yesterday at Toowoomba Blood Donor Centre to give his 500^th life-saving donation.

Since starting his blood donation journey in 1968 at 17, Mr Dill has been a regular visitor to the Toowoomba Blood Donor Centre.

Mr Dill mostly donates plasma every fortnight.

As a teenager, Mr Dill was involved in a horse riding accident and severely broke his leg.
