Cleo Keenan began complaining of a tummy ache last month.

Mum Shannon Latham, 23, and dad Ryan Keenan, 26, took her straight to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, after noticing her stomach had started to swell up.

Initially they thought it could be down to a hormone imbalance their daughter had suffered as a baby.

But doctors quickly realised something was very wrong.

The two-year-old was sent for a CT scan, which revealed the sinister tumour growing in her abdomen.

Cleo was transferred to Manchester Children’s Hospital, where, two weeks later she was diagnosed with stage 3 adrenal cancer.

It’s a rare but aggressive form of cancer, in the adrenal glands – those that produce hormones.

Mum Shannon, from Blackpool, Lancs, said: “She looked like she was pregnant. I was getting more and more concerned.
