It seems pretty easy to get worked up over the wide disagreements we face today in our nation. We try to present our position, but the other side doesn’t listen and we seemingly have no power to make change.

Don’t fret. There is one thing you can do today that will save lives — give blood.

LifeSouth, the local blood bank, is in dire need of all blood types. Every summer, blood donations slow dramatically as schools go on break and people take vacations.

Unfortunately, the need for blood does not dissipate during the summer. Currently, the reserve supply to restock area hospitals is at a two-day level, which translates to emergency status. All blood types are needed, especially negative blood types and O negative.
