A rare ‘Bombay’ blood group patient was successfully transfused after the untiring efforts of the Department of Transfusion Medicine and Department of General Medicine at Christian Medical College and Hospital, (CMCH) Ludhiana.Ram Ajoor, a 60-year-old migrant labourer, in Ludhiana came to the CMC Hospital with anaemia and complications of diabetes. The decision to transfuse one unit of blood was made by the treating Dr Lydia Solomon.
