Little Estelle’s second birthday has turned into a celebration of survival for the toddler and her mother Rachel.

Estelle and Rachel Taufer, 33, from Northmead in Sydney’s north-west, survived a high-risk pregnancy which caused haemorrhaging and premature labour.

Estelle was born at 26 weeks due to a complication in pregnancy called placenta percreta.
