The WEAR Cares annual St. Patrick’s Day Blood Drive helps save people’s lives — like what happened to two-month-old Valley Jo Bryan.

Valley Jo’s family found out she had a brain tumor in February.

Before her surgery to remove the tumor, she needed two blood transfusions.

“We’re so thankful. I heard that there were hundreds of people who out there and donated. If they didn’t go to Valley Jo, it went to someone else,” said Valley Jo’s mother Taylor Bryan.

They found that she has a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

Taylor is encouraging people to donate blood to help others after seeing what the community did for Valley Jo.
