A mum-of-three has urged people to keep to their blood donation appointments after suffering two miscarriages and having her life saved.
Sarah Saunders, 41, from Sutton Bonington, needed three units of blood and surgery at the Queen’s Medical Centre shortly before Christmas 2010 after she started to miscarry severely.
Mrs Saunders recalled what was supposed to be a normal day when she was buying Christmas cards.
“I remember thinking I hadn’t said goodbye to the children,” said Sarah, a dietician.
