For 55-year-old Nowhatta resident, Shabir Hussain Khan, blood donation means saving lives.
Recently, Khan turned up to donate blood at a medical camp at SP College. People present there couldn’t believe that it was for the 158th time in last 37 years that he was donating blood.
Khan, a paper mache artist started donating blood when he was 18-years old. This regular blood donator says blood donation for him is a due to his noble intentions. “I first donated blood in 1980 when a footballer friend was injured. Since then I have been regularly donating blood. It is a humanitarian service and what better than saving a human life,” Khan said.
