Come June 14, the Manaveeyam Veedhi in the city will be a beehive of activity as the Blood Donors Kerala Charitable Society’s Thiruvananthapuram Unit will celebrate the World Blood Donor Day along the 180-metre stretch.

Installations, art and craft exhibition and cultural activities to create awareness of blood donation will be held on the day which urges the world to ‘Give Blood, Give Now, Give Often’.

The organisation that has over 1,000 members in the district supplies close to 100 units of blood daily, but has seen a drop in donors in the recent months which makes the day even more relevant this time around
