Looking for ways to help during the pandemic virus? Follow Gov. Charlie Baker’s lead and give blood.

Baker and his wife donated blood recently in Dedham, urging others to do the same amid a nationwide blood shortage.

According to Kelly Isenor, an American Red Cross spokesperson for the region, “There’s no end date with Covid19, so the Red Cross will need blood and platelets.” Isenor said the Red Cross is grateful to all the people who have already given blood, but there will also be an immediate patient need in the coming weeks.
