A local woman is close to reaching 18 gallons of total blood donations after she finishes her appointment this weekend at the Carroll Broadcasting Dracula Drive. Sherry Bolton, of Glidden, made her first donation in 1972 while she was finishing her nursing training. She says donations were regular for her during that time, but she got really serious in 1981 after receiving blood transfusions when her son was born.
