For years, the Indiana University Health West Hospital has hosted themed blood drives for its employees and this year is no different. Staff was invited to show a little will and grace when they donated blood at this year’s “Will and Grace” themed drive.

Lori Satterfield, senior marketing associate and coordinator of community outreach, organized the blood drive and said more than 30 employees scheduled their donation and many more walked in throughout the morning.

“We do this every year, at least two a year, with hospital staff,” Satterfield explained. “This week we really targeted since its Nurses’ Week and Hospital Week. That’s our way of giving back to the community.”

The room was filled with those donating or waiting to donate, and episodes of the popular television sitcom “Will and Grace” played in the background.
