The American Red Cross has accepted 12,700 Girl Scout cookie boxes which they will donate to blood donors, Red Cross volunteers, first responders and armed forces personnel. Donors will receive the cookies during blood drives being held this month throughout New York State.
“We thank the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways and its customers for their donation,” Western and Central New York Region of the American Red Cross CEO Rosie Taravella said. “The cookies will be a sweet treat for our generous blood donors, our volunteers, and those in need of support from the Red Cross while going through a difficult time in their lives.”
