Twice a month, 4-year-old Jonathan Strand has needles poked into his belly button as part of a 45-minute long treatment for his immune deficiency disorder.

“It takes a whole lot of blood to make that medication,” said his mother Kimberly Strnad. “In his case, the medication he takes has tremendously improved the quality of his life.”

After being in out of the doctor’s office because of the illness, Jonathan has not been sick since his infusions began in 2018.
