Kirk Albright has been donating for decades.
Kirk Albright has done something only six other people in Minnesota have accomplished.
He has officially donated his 100th gallon of blood to the Red Cross.
According to the Red Cross, each pint of blood can help save up to three lives, so Albright has helped thousands.
“It takes years of dedication and regular platelet donations to reach this level,” said Sue Thesenga, Red Cross external communications manager.
The Eagan resident has been donating for decades.
He got his start donating whole blood, but for the bulk of his donations since the 1990s, he’s donated platelets.
