At the age of 29, on May 27, 2002 at 2:30 p.m, I got a phone call from my doctor.
Days before, I had a biopsy done to remove a tumour on my left breast that had been buried there for many months prior. I discovered the tumor in late October, and where I was young, I was given many ultrasounds and blood tests and the biopsy, and my results came back clear. A mammogram was not an option.
As days passed, weeks and months, the tumour was growing inside of me and I knew something was wrong. In the new year, my family doctor would continue searching for answers to this mystery.
