Despairing parents of an adorable little toddler have spoken of their gratitude at the 120 strangers who have donated blood to help save her life.

Adeline Davidson, two, needs a blood transfusion every week to stay alive due to her rare blood cancer , myelodysplasia.

But parents Jordan and Stephanie Davidson say she’s an “energetic ball of fun” and are desperate for more donors.

These strangers keep her condition stable as she waits for a bone marrow transplant to cure the cancer, which affects only one in every 250,000 children.

Mrs Davidson, 25, said: “It’s insane the amount [of donations] needed for one little bag [of blood]. But for every bag of platelets she gets it takes at least 20 donors.
