Local blood donors are “urged to give” during an upcoming blood drive in honor of 17-month-old Liliana Troiano. The blood drive will be held at Waverly High School from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on May 11.
“The Red Cross blood supply is still recovering from severe winter storms in March,” said Regina Boothe Bratton, of the American Red Cross. “Donors of all blood types are urged to roll up a sleeve and help save the lives of patients like Liliana.”
The school hosted the first-annual blood drive in honor of Troiana in May 2017. Amanda Entler, Waverly High School teacher and National Honor Society leader, says that Liliana is the granddaughter of Chris Legg, Waverly High School’s head cook.
