December 5, 2007 was a tragic day in Omaha. A gunman walked in to the Von Maur store at Westroads Mall and opened fire.  Eight people were killed and the shooter took his life.  Fred Wilson was a shooting victim that survived but nearly lost his life.  He underwent several surgeries and blood transfusion.  Today, the American Red Cross is holding a blood drive in Wilson’s honor.
