A blood drive was held to honor Jennifer Rodriguez-Ford. Rodriguez-Ford worked as a donor services representative at the Rock River Valley Blood center for more than 15 years.

The drive was held at Rockford United Labor where family, friends and the community gathered not only to continue the legacy of Rodriguez-Ford but also to help save future lives.

Rodriguez-Ford was fatally shot in December of 2018. She left behind many people that remember her involvement with the community

“I’ve never donated before, this is my first time but I’m doing it because this is what she wanted us to do all the time,” says Rodriguez-Ford’s cousin Esmeralda Salazar.
