The Robstown community rallied together Monday and hosted a blood drive for a special four-year-old girl.
Alice Flores was diagnosed with a rare heart abnormality before she was even born. Since her birth she has had to undergo a series of surgeries to survive, and she is about to undergo another open-heart surgery after Easter.
That’s why people lined up Monday at Robstown High School to donate blood.
“You could definitely be saving their lives, as much as you feel like a little bit of blood won’t matter, but it definitely does go a long way,” said Kayla Alejandro, Alice’s cousin.
