Charlene Gilmore is closing in on her fortieth blood donation and has no plans of stopping just yet.

Charlene donated her first pint of blood in the year 2000. Her son had just been in a very bad motorcycle accident and though he didn’t need blood, Charlene thought of all those who do require blood in such circumstances. “The Blood Bank had a huge appeal soon after and I decided to donate.”
