A blood donation camp was organized by Shalteng garrison at Sharifabad in Srinagar outskirts to support local health care and medical saving procedures amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hospitals are striving to have healthy blood donations as ongoing coronavirus pandemic have decreased the number of eligible, healthy donors. The aim of the event was to bridge the void faced by blood banks, help the needful and save lives.

The camp was conducted at Shalateng garrison on Monday. Joint efforts of both Civ and Army made the event successful. Medical staff of 03 persons which included 01 Doctor and 02 Nursing assistants were present to assist in conduction of the Blood Donation Camp.
