A woman from Buckinghamshire, who has made over 100 blood donations, has been thanked at a special awards ceremony.
The event was held to honour 66 loyal blood and platelet donors from London and the surrounding areas who have collectively saved and improved the lives of up to 24,000 patients.
Together the donors recognised at the ceremony have donated 6000 units of blood and 2000 units of platelets.
NHS Blood and Transplant organised the celebratory event for 58 blood donors and eight platelet donors in London at St Pauls Church, Hammersmith on Friday 12th January 2018, to pay tribute to their dedication and commitment to donate blood and platelets, which are a vital part of treatment for so many patients.
