The Allen family and Greater Northbrook are teaming up to organize a blood drive in honor of the family’s son, Andrew.

Andrew Allen, 18, remains in the hospital after being hit by two cars while attempting to cross Springdale Road earlier this month.

It happened just weeks after the family lost their 2-year-old son Brody to brain cancer.

Andrew’s family said blood donors helped save his life and want to help give back as a thank you.
