A 9-year-old boy met with his blood donor at the Levittown Fire Department during a blood drive on Thursday.
King Singh was born with a rare blood disease and was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2. After over three years of daily chemotherapy treatments and a blood transfusion, King is now cancer-free.
He hugged and thanked one of his donors, Ronald Hlawaty, who is a lifelong donor and the chairperson for Thursday’s blood drive.
